I went to a skateboard park with my kids so they could see what tricks could be done on a skate board. We had heard of some of the things that people were doing at the park and it sounded like something that we wanted to investigate for ourselves. Having children that are interested in sports means you try things you have not done in years! We went to the park and the kids were doing some amazing things. No longer are the days where a skateboard and a neighborhood hill meant hours of fun. We thought we were doing some amazing things back then but we have been trumped! One other thing I noticed was some of the really neat gear these kids had. They told us that there was a place online that you can order skateboard gear from. They said there were pads and trucks as well as the boards themselves on this website. That is where many of them have to get their gear. They had clothing and pads as well as really nice skateboards. I guess every thing changes and this sport is certainly not what it use to be. Of course we can still ride our skateboards on our neighborhood hills and if we have a really neat skateboard and some really good pads we can look cool doing it and be safer,too!
