You only have to turn on the television or pick up a newspaper to find out how dangerous our neighborhoods can be for our children. There are sex offenders living in every area. They are not easy to spot so there is a database that we can access to know where they live. So often we see that children were harmed just feet from their own homes and the parents never knew the offender lived there. We have to stop this war on our children. We have to keep informed and keep our children informed. Explain to them where the offenders live and make certain they understand the rules. When you repeat your rules regularly then they know they are important. There is nothing more important then our children so we have to protect them with knowledge. Go to the database of sex offenders and see where they live and visit the site often to be aware of any changes. Sex offenders move just as we do. We have to protect our neighborhoods from predators so if you learn of an offender in your area make certain that your neighbors with children know it as well. There is power when everyone works with all the information together. It may not always take a village to raise a child but it does take one to keep them safe!
