Anyone that is designing a space in their homes or offices can appreciate a piece of well made furniture. In the beginning we had furniture that was a mixed bunch of designs and makers. There was no certain style to the design only a coordination of colors. This was good for us because we had several moves that the furniture had to endure as well as several children and pets. As our pets and our children have gotten older the pieces of furniture that had taken the journey of life with us to this point has retired and we are replacing it with a more elegant and yet still liveable pieces. I do not think we will ever have a home that we do not live on all of the furniture so we want furniture that looks great and can be enjoyed as well. We have been shopping for the right pieces to bring in our home and have found some beautiful pieces in the Lexington furniture and the Kincaid furniture lines. It is easy to see many of these pieces working really well in our design. The Broyhill furniture that we have been looking at would also be a great fit into our lifestyle. It is easy to imagine any of our gatherings with our large family taking place on any of the pieces that we have found. All we have to do now is decide which direction we are going to take our design and just have fun with it. That is the best part of design and that is the fun of it. taking a space and re imagining it to look totally different is exciting. It is a project we have been doing one room at a time with the overall theme to flow throughout the house. I think the first room was the most difficult because we had to agree on the basics so we had a direction for our entire home and now we just enjoy every decision.
